The experience of being a parent is a wonderful feeling, however for many it can also be truly exhausting and unnerving.  

You really don’t need to do it on your own and it’s important to know that help and guidance is out there if you need it. 

I have over sixteen years’ experience working with children as a Nanny, Maternity Nurse and Sleep Consultant, as well as being a mummy myself so I know only too well the pressure we put on ourselves to try to be the ‘perfect’ parents…I can tell you now there really is no such thing and all you can do its try your best, learn from your mistakes and please ask for help if you need it!

Being parents really is a learning journey (I am still learning with mine and even with all my experience I still get it wrong sometimes!)  It really is like on the job training as many people have never really had much experience with babies/children until they are parents themselves and bring their little bundles of joy home and just have to cope and get on with it somehow…any way they can just so they can try and get a few precious hours sleep! 

Back in the day when our parents had us they stayed in hospital for any

thing from 5-10 days after birth so they had lots of help on hand during those first few days when they were just getting to know their babies and finding their feet as parents.  Nowadays you are lucky if you stay overnight at all and with all the cuts in the NHS etc. postnatal classes are becoming few and far between. 

I am finding that more and more people are struggling along on their own and getting stuck in a rut (especially with sleep issues) and don’t know where to turn, which is where I come in.  I am not here to replace your GP or Health Visitor but with my knowledge and experience I feel that I can offer you advice, support and help when other services might not be available or you may not want to talk to them for fear of being judged.

PACKAGES:
Initial Support £ 25             

30 Minute Telephone or Skype Consultation
 After finding out a bit more about you and the concerns you                                                        have, I aim to provide you with some simple ideas/techniques                                                      based on the issues you are having (This maybe all you need as                                                  sometimes the problem can be easily fixed and sometimes you are                                                in fact doing all the right things you just need some reassurance)

Follow up support £20         

 30 Minute Telephone, Skype Consultation or email support  
 When you need a little bit more help and guidance or want to re- cap on techniques already discussed and adapt if necessary 

Home visits:       

This is when I will personally come out to your house and meet you (with or without your children).  I will get a detailed account of what’s going on and observe your family life.  I will offer you general advice and guidance on any issues you may have and provide you with suggestions and strategies to help improve things. 

2 Hour Home Visit                                                                    - £60 + travel

Morning, Afternoon or Evening Visit (up to 4 hours)        - £100 + travel

Whole Day Visit (8 hours to suit you)                                   - £200 + travel
